Ratings
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast. "This sultry wine is sourced from the producer’s Trenton Road vineyard, cooler than where the winery itself sits in Chalk Hill. Planted to six clones, it provides this bottling with a taste of blueberry and raspberry integrated around soft, juicy tannins and a brightness of acidity." Virginia Boone, Wine Enthusiast, April 2016
Winemaker Notes
2013 was a fabulous vintage, giving us wines of both finesse and concentration. A very mild spring and summer, weather temperatures were perfect for growing beautiful grapes. Quality is excellent across the board. This exciting wine, our third vintage of Pinot Noir has vibrant acidity with a long finish. The nose is swarming with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, framboise, roses and mocha. The palate tastes like it smells, with flavors of cherry, cocoa and raspberry.
Food Pairing Notes
This is a beautiful wine to drink alone, or pair with a wonderful meal.

Production Notes
The Chalk Hill AVA is a sub-appellation of the Russian River Valley, the epicenter of Pinot Noir growing and winemaking. While the estate is a bit warm for top quality Pinot Noir, our Trenton Road vineyard, located a few miles west of the winery, is ideally situated. Trenton’s 45 acres of vineyard are planted with 6 highly regarded clones of Pinot Noir, primarily Mt. Eden, Pommard, Swan and Dijon 777.
